Lautech May Soon Strike Read Reason And Why

No comments :

whether it is yet to be confirmed as true or still a rumour, the LAUTECH ASUU is set to embark on indefinite strike soon due to the highhandedness and recalcitrant attitude from both ownership states. The two visitors, Aregbesola and Ajimobi are both owing the ASUU an eighteen months salaries. Thirteen from Osun while  five from Oyo state.

It should be known that the V.C, in person of Gbadegesin has been running the school on Internal generated revenue ( I G R ). However, it may sound not correct in an administrative settings to run a school on IGR, but the school has no choice in order to avoid STRIKE. Many may seem all is well with the school as it conducted the 13th convocation on Friday, but the fact remains that it is struggling to compete with other schools and perhaps avoid a crumbling edifice.

Yes, the mega convocation which is the first of it kind in the history of LAUTECH may have captured a large turnout of people from various part of the country, but yet, it is out place that the school had planned well for the event. The notification of the  event was not only impromptu but poor. Administratively, it is abnormal to expect a TEN thousand plus convocants in a building that only takes 1200 seaters. This is to say that the school never had a plan for the convocation but literally as a means to raise funds for the school.

Indeed, professor Gbadegesin is a man of administrative acumen at conflict time. This is a man that has acted in many capacity to sustain the progressive march of the school. To have also heard that he was begging the ASUU yesterday not to embark on indefinite strike but twenty one days or three weeks as rumoured, is a reflection of his administrative dexterity.

Who will safe LAUTECH ?

Do you think if Osun state is disengaged will solve the debt saga ?

#LAUTECHmustnotStrike.

Lautech mouth piece.

Danger of Keeping Bad Company In School

No comments :

Bad company can be said to be having a set of immoral friends and taking after them, just as they are to having a bad company can occur in different ways, depending on what you do most, where you are and your activities in such place like school and more.

The major effect of bad company is loss of interest in studies. Bad friends do not encourage a person to take his/her studies seriously. All they could do is either teach one how to drink and smoke or prostitute by taking to sugar daddies or mummies.

if it is for a girl she is likely to get pregnant and at the same time contact HIV and AIDS and for a boy , he is prone to becoming a drunk accompanied by HIV/AIDS which can ruin his future completely.

Bad company can also make a student to accommodate arrogance as his or her paramount behavior toward the school authority. Thos can be by breaking the school rules and regulations in the sense that he or she will be coming late to class, fighting his or her mates for unreasonable issues and know to be rude to teacher in the school.

He can lead in school fight against other schools, not knowing that he is likely to be suspended from school or even expelled if care is not taken. This will mark the end of his or her education and such a child can become a threat to both neighborhood and country and consequently become a criminal.
Bad company can bring about the initiation of a student into secret cults. This always involves taking the lives of others intentionally.

I want to advice everybody to look before you leap. This is because there is an adage which says “SHOW ME YOUR FRIEND AND I WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE”. We should try to know the kind of friends we are having, before they influence us with their bad character.
Also I will like to advice parent to please teach their children good moral behavior. In the case of manners, most students do not exhibit the attitude of well-trained children. It is important to call them to order whenever they are bringing up attitude acquire from bad company.

Effect Of Unemployment And Under-Employment In Developing Countries

No comments :

Unemployment and under-employment in developing countries are most acute in the area outside a few metropolitan cities; so there is a mass migration into these cities in a desperate search for a livelihood: and the cities themselves, in spite of economic growth, become infested with ever-growing multitude of destitute people. Any visitor who has ventured outside the opulent districts of these cities has seen their shanty town and belts of misery, which are often growing ten times as fast as the cities themselves.

Current forecast of the growth of metropolitan area in india, and many other developing countries, conjure up a picture of town with 20, 40 and even 60 million people a prospect of ‘immigration’ for a roofless and jobless mass of humanity, that beggars the imagination.

No amount of brave statistic of national income growth can hide the fact that all too many developing countries are suffering from the twin diseases of growing unemployment and mushrooming metropolitan slums, which are placing their social and political fabric under an intolerable strain. The suspicious has been voiced (and cannot be dismissed out of hand) that foreign aid, as currently practiced, may actually be intensifying these twin diseases instead of mitigating them; that the heedless rush into modernization extinguishes old jobs faster than it can create new ones; and that all the apparent increases in national income are eaten up, or even more than eaten up, by crushing economic burden produce by excessive urban growth. It is rather obvious that a man’s cost of subsistence-something-very different from his standard of life rises significantly the moment he moves from a small town  or rural area into big city.

MAXWELL DIARY 2 Love In Uniosun Ikire Campus (Campus life)

No comments :

It was in the early hours of monday morning in 0sun State University,Ikire campus. Some students were reading furiously and while some were gisting. It was the final examination to end the session. Most people were happy because they will be going to another level while
some will be graduating from the university.People do say you don't repeat when someone is in either 100l or 200l or 300l.So they belived that there is no repeat in university like our primary and secondary schools.

I was in the class about to write the last paper for the session to be a graduate when the lecture-in-charge
came in.He said 'I don't want to see your phones or any cheat with you.if I you were caught, you will fill the
malpratice form.Being the last paper in the school, everybody in the hall was careful.Nobody dared to
move his or her head, everywhere was silent like a grave yard.Suddenly,a student started to gasp ,he was at my back.

The hall started to become noisy, some people who wanted to ask or answer a friend used the medium to carryout their aims. The lecturer-in-charge ordered silence
in the hall.He asked for this guy friend who can take him to the clinic.A girl was about to stand when the lecturer said such person would not continue with the exam and
it is a carryover course for the person. The girl adjust to her seat very well.It was this guy girl friend. They do tell each other 'I love you',where is the love now?

Meanwhile, the lectuer later said he was joking with what he said earlier.
Can I say the girl loves the guy or what?
Is the girl decision right at the moment?
What will you do,if you were the guy?
Love is about sacrifice.

How Uniosun Calculate There Post UTME Score

1 comment :

Now,that jamb has already started & rolling, very soon you  guys(jambite&DE)would be thinking about p.utme & interviews respectively...
It is always advice-able to know more about  the department  you  are
about to choose and to found out what is the cut-off mark.

Therefore Am gonna teach u how uniosun calculate ur post UTME
score.

Because uniosun run a 50-50% (utme & post.utme) to calculate post.utme final aggregate,UNLIKE other schools
like Funaab etc that used the 50,30,20%(utme,o'levels and post.utme)respectively.

Let's go..!!
*1)-imagine u got 200 in jamb
(you  can put your  jamb score in place of 200)
*2)-Now divide your  jamb score by 8 (for instance)200/8=25%
*3)- what that implies is that before you wrote/obtain.The post utme form u have 25% already..!!
(Now try that with your current jamb score and See what u get already)
*4)-Now fast-forward to post-utme exam imagine you Got 55/100 has post.utme score...
*5)-what uniosun would do is to divide ur post UTME score by 2(for instance)
55/2=27.5%
(U can put the score u are aiming during post.utme there to determine your fate)
*6) this is how ur FINAL SCORE WOULD BE LYK
Utme 50%= 25%
P.utme 50%=27.5%
-------------------------
Your agrregate=52.5%
--------------------------------
*7) YOUR FINAL SCORE IS GONNA BE 52.5
* all this method was based on uniosun previous years
'AS OF WHEN WRITING/UPDATING THESE THREAD UNIOSUN HASNT ADOPTED ANOTHER METHOD OF
Post.UTME agrregaite score
* has of when writing this  info General Cut-off mark still remains 45(for non-indigine) & 40(for indigine)....I stand
to be corrected thou..
Although each dept has their respective cut-off marks...BUT THATS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT..
If worst comes to worst u'll probably be given another course..

*8) FINALLY I would advice all aspirant on guest mood to join uniosunpeeps ,and let's interracts its fun down here.
*12) how many comment  do i get...??

And you can ask anything you want.

VARSITY STUDENTS REITERATE- OUR INSTITUTION REMAINS UNIOSUN, NOT BIU

No comments :

The students’ leadership of the Osun State University,Osogbo, has reiterated that the name of the University is still intact, admonishing the state broadcasting corporation, OSBC, to stop spreading falsehood.

This was contained in the students’ letter to the station through its Director General. A copy of the letter
which was made available to pressmen in Osogbo, the state capital, was jointly signed by Com.

Abubakar Abdulbasit O., the coordinator of the students
committee on the subject matter as well as Com.

Adesina Jacob O. Com., Oyesiji Sheriff and Com. Ajilore
Sheriff.

The said letter was tilted:

RENAMING OF OSUN STATE
UNIVERSITY, OSOGBO AND OFFENSIVE BROADCAST: A
REJOINDER. It reads in part:
“On behalf of the entire students across the six
campuses of the Osun State University, Osogbo, we
use this medium, Sir, to register our great and
combined displeasure at the one-sided broadcast of
your station on the controversial renaming of our
university. This renaming in honour of Chief Bola Ige
and other politicians was announced by the state
Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola at the convocation
ceremony held at the institution’s main campus,
Osogbo on the 9th of March, 2016 and had since been
kicked against.
“Therefore, we consider series of your
contemporaneous transmits in which you referred to
our esteemed institution as Bola Ige University
unmerited and offensive. Because, without hesitation,
the change of name is not welcomed by us and many
others whose interest is the growth of our institution
and not it’s continued dilapidation.
“As an agent of socialization operating under stipulated
ethics built on fairness and objectivity, we believe that
your station should at least be fair to us, if it cannot be
objective on this matter and desist from spreading
offensive messages which are in totality provocative.
With a thunderous emphasis, the name of our
university remains Osun State University and as one of
the strong institutions in the state, we wish to inform
you herein that there is no going back on our
resistance to the needless change of name.
“While our annoyance is not directed at the individuals
whom the Governor intends to immortalize, we are
opposed not only to the renaming but also to the
disquieting manner in which the announcement was
made. Even though we understand the provisions of
the law that established Osun State University and the
power granted to Mr. Governor therein, we emphasize
here reasons for which we are perplexed by the
announcement: Lack of proper consultations with
stakeholders; gigantic cost of implementations; loss of
identity; flagrant disregard of due process of Law
amongst others.
“Sir, just as we had earlier pointed out in our letter
(dated 24th, of March 2016) to the State House of
Assembly, we wish to inform you that the arrangement
by the Governor if put into effect will drain the state of
much needed funds. The cost of effecting the change
of name is not only astronomical and enormous but
also cumbersome and burdensome. Virtually every
property of the school bearing the inscription of the
present name will be affected. This includes the
website, the school buildings in their various locations,
the students’ and staff identity cards, the signposts
and signboards, documents, vehicles, even to the
lecterns in the classes and the list is not exhaustive.
“Bear in mind too Sir, our University is a creation of
statute. The extant law is the Osun State University
Law 2006. The Act provides for the establishment,
incorporation and administration of the University
among others. It clearly states that the state shall have
a University with the name Osun State University and it
shall have six campuses spread within the state. The
names of the campuses are also provided for under the
law. With this, it is not difficult to understand that the
name announced by the Governor is unknown to the
laws of the land which is far-off above everyone in the
state including the governor himself.
“Just as we emphatically and unambiguously reject the
renaming of our institution and its campuses, we will
do everything possible within the armpit of the law to
have same reversed and it is our expectation that your
station will review its position and henceforth take
appropriate step to do things in less provocative
manner. While we thank you for your time and
anticipated understanding, we hope for a fair coverage
of the lingering issues. God bless you and God bless
the State of Osun. Osun a dara oo.”
